Hi all! If you’re reading this, you probably know that Lori just had a beautiful baby girl. She’s already plotting and writing her next books, and I’m absolutely amazed. I was wiped out for months with a brain made of mush after I had my babies! Anyway, I’d thought I’d give her a break on the blog this month and write a guest post.

For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Lori’s assistant, Ehlane. I try to help quietly in the background with any projects she sends my way. One of the perks of being an assistant to a best selling author is getting a chance to read all her books. Over the past couple of months I’ve read both the Sutton Capital and Evers series. While I loved both series, the Evers books were definitely my favorite.

Maybe it’s because I live in Texas, but the characters are so relatable. And the relationship that develops between Cade and Laura in book one convinced me that romance is a genre I really do enjoy! I have a tendency to read fantasy for the most part. I like magic! But the sparks flying between this couple are definitely magical, even if they’re not paranormal (though there are rumors that a paranormal romance may be in Lori’s writing future!). And the fact that Cade is a smoking hot cowboy who rescues animals? Well, that certainly doesn’t hurt. 😉
